Service Description

This class focuses on active relaxation helping us to integrate and heal through rest. Restorative yoga involves relaxing into 3 or 4 poses for 10-15 minutes each to create a safe space for you to explore self-inquiry and restore balance to your being. With the use of props, we settle into a variety of supported spinal extensions, flexions, and rotations on the ground. Regular practice can benefit us in the following ways: +Promotes the relaxation response +Relives stress +Aids sleep +Calming, grounding, and balancing. Active relaxation is a proven way to tap into our parasympathetic nervous system, known to help us to heal. Studies have shown through peer-reviewed scientific research, that regular yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices can help to calm and reduce the stress response, reduce fatigue and physical musculoskeletal pain, and aid better sleep and positive emotions. A Zoom link and health questionnaire will be emailed to you before your class, please click the link a few minutes before the class starts to give yourself time to settle in. Things to have nearby: A yoga mat or blanket to lay on A yoga strap (tie, belt, scarf) Two yoga bricks (hardback books of equal size) A round bolster (one or two pillows rolled in a towel) Two flat bolsters (Two thick blankets folded or two pillows) Two blankets Please feel free to turn your cameras off and I will mute all participants before we start.
